Wednesday Night Youth

Give your 6th-12th grader a midweek boost! WNY offers student led worship, fun games, age appropriate teaching, small group discussions, and a shared meal to help them build lasting friendships and deepen their faith.

In November

This Novmeber during Wednesday Night Youth, we don’t have a set series but opperunities for students to live out their faith in different ways. We have a service project, friendsgiving, and worship night events planned for Novmeber.

RENEW

Help your teenager kick off Sunday with purpose! RENEW meets every Sunday from 9:30-10:45 AM in the Youth Suite (F329), right before the 11:00 AM worship service. It’s a laid-back, welcoming space for 6th-12th graders to build community, play games, and dive into table discussions that make faith real and relevant for their daily lives. (And yes, there will be Pop-Tarts)

October Series Title: “A Tale Of Two Sisters”

This Novmeber at RENEW, we’re kicking off a new series called “A Tale Of Two Sisters.” This series studies the lives of two sisters, Mary and Martha. Both of these women loved Jesus, but often differed in how they related to and spent time with him. Like us, these women chose ways that were comfortable to them to honor and worship the Lord.

Youth Halloween Party

Youth Halloween Party is Wednesday, Oct 28 from 6-8 PM in the Youth Suite (F329). We will have food, lots of candy, games, prizes, a costume contest, and a special event at the end of the night. Invite a friend and join us for a howling good time! 👻

WNY: Service Project

Wednesday Night Youth: Service Project is Nov 4 from 6-8 PM in the Gym. We will be helping with the Volunteer Thank You Dinner for all our church volunteers. Youth will please serve, bus tables, and clean up. Youth will eat dinner after the event and then we will have a time of fellowship and fun in the Youth Suite (F329).

Rooted Retreat

Rooted Retreat at Camp Glisson with the North Georgia Conference is Friday, November 6 at 5:00 PM to Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 PM. This event is sold out. Click here for more details like the schedule and packing list.

Friendsgiving

Youth Friendsgiving is Wednesday, November 11 from 6-8 PM in the Youth Suite (F329). We are asking that students who plan to attend the 2026 Friendsgiving gathering provide a side item for dinner. Please bring your side to the Youth Suite on Wednesday, November 11th, by 5:45 PM. Friends you invite don’t have to bring anything! Use the button below to sign-up to bring your side.

Youth Christmas Party

Youth Christmas Party is Wednesday, Dec 9 from 6-8 PM in the Youth Suite (F329). This years theme is “Elf” with games, prizes, and food inspired by this modern holiday classic. Bring a wraped pair of socks to join in our gift exchange.

Rest & Vision Retreat

When: January 16-18, 2027
Time: We load the bus at 11:30 AM at McEachern UMC back parking lot behind Oaks Hall (on Saturday, Jan 16) and leave at 11:45 AM sharp to make it on time. We will return by 3:30 PM (on Monday, Jan 18) to the parking lot behind Oaks Hall.
Who: 6th-12th grade students
Location: Camp Sumatanga (3616 Sumatanga Rd, Gallant, AL 35972)
Cost: $150 per person (includes all transportation, on-campus meals, lodging, and retreat material)
Deadline to Register: Friday, January 1, 2027
Extra Money: Students will need extra money to cover the cost of one travel meal on Monday before we arrive at camp (estimate $10-12).

Rest and Vision Retreat at Camp Sumatanga with the North Alabama Conference is Saturday, January 16 at 11:30 AM to Monday, January 18 at 3:30 PM. The cost of the trip is $150 (covers onsite meals, transportation, loading, and materials). Bring money to cover a traveling meal on Monday before we get back to the church. Drop off is at 11:30 AM behind Oaks Hall and pick up will be at 3:30 PM in the same spot on Monday. Registration deadline is Friday, January 1, 2027. Please make sure your student has eaten lunch before arriving at the church on Saturday.
