Director of Communications

McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church is seeking a creative, organized, collaborative Director of Communications to lead and strengthen the way our church communicates its mission, ministries, opportunities, and stories to our congregation and community.

This is a new position at McEachern, offering a unique opportunity for the right person to help shape not only what we communicate, but how we communicate it. The Director of Communications will oversee the church’s print, digital, social media, visual, video, and congregational communications while developing consistent systems, standards, processes, and a recognizable visual identity for McEachern.

We are looking for someone who combines creativity with organization: a person with an eye for design and storytelling who also enjoys creating calendars, workflows, templates, standards, and processes that make communication easier and more effective across the church.

Because this is a new role, we expect the position to develop and grow over time based on the skills and interests of the person selected and the evolving communications needs of the church. We will consider candidates interested in either part-time or full-time employment, with responsibilities and priorities appropriately tailored to the agreed-upon schedule.

Status: Part-Time or Full-Time, 25-40 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible; generally three days per week on-site, with opportunities for remote work
